Default Heavy Breather or Ness Big Sucker

Hey Guys
I have a 07 FXSTC with big shot staggereds, i am odering a PCIII and an intake, just wanted everyones thoughts on either the Harley Heavy Breather or the Arlen Ness big sucker stage II. I like the looks of both and cant decide, i found the ness for 100 bucks cheaper, but thats not that big of a deal to me, just want what performs best and looks best. All thoughts and critisms welcome.

Thanks

Brent

I went for a big sucker 1 because I don't want anything block the front cylinder. The SE heavy breather looks as good, it is your choice. Don't get the Big sucker 2 unless you have a cover on it, it looks funny without cover.

The heavy breather is exposed and if you ride a lot you will find rain. That filter does not like rain and gets dirty fast.
The AN Stage II is great if ya want max flow. The only issue is the stock football won't fit. You need an 8" cover like the older models used. If you like the ones that AN makes, cool. If not, you could always make your own cover. Hell! Let me know what you have in mind and I'll see what I can do. I am an aircraft structures mech by trade. I made a quick first try for mine when I put my AN Stage II on. I am going to make a couple different ones to see what I like. I made the first cover and it pretty much completely covers the Big Sucker II.

I didn't do any sanding in between coats on the paint and no clear. I just made this one quick for the oversized filter.

The backing plate on the AN Big Sucker Stage II is nice. No more S hoses. the breathers feed right to the venturi. No oil drippage!
Let me know if you want me to make something for ya. Something flat would be relatively cheap. The one I made for my bike raps all the way around the filter, as you can see. I know AN makes a few different covers that work with the bigger filter, mostly chrome.

The things that I didn't like about this one was the external breather tubes and the $300 price tag.
The Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage II is not billet, but it does incorporate the breathers into the backing plate. No hoses to start leaking or to replace after they decay over type.

Got mine with the power vents,no rubber hoses and you get what you pay for.
