Default Chromed Front Forks

Eductate me Please !!! Once again I did try the 'search' but I'm going blind reading all the threads. There's got to be a way to narrower the Search down. I got every thread with the word 'chrome' in it and 'front' in it and 'forks' in it !!!

Anyway, Is this a part you buy to 'go over' the existing bottom part ? Or is this something you replace totally ?

BTW, I have a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic FLSTC.

Thanks !!

Heritage70x, try putting the search in quotes. It works for me sometimes.
ie: "chrome front end"

...or if you live in a cold climate, use the winter downtime to have yours plated.

It's a replacement of the "chrome lower sliders". They normally cost a couple of hundred bucks and really aren't that difficult to change out. Takes less time to replace the lower sliders than it does to remove everything to get to where you can replace them, like fender, brake caliper, tire, and probably a few other things on an FL front.

Air tools is a must if you plan to do it yourself. And, of course, a shop manual.
