I would certainly hope that an aftermarket pulley being sold for Harleys would be the proper width for a Harley! I wasn't recommending this change... I had the impression he was looking for a bling pulley to match his new bling wheels (earlier post), and this was what he came across.
you're absolutely right bro. i was looking to match the wheels. there was a $200 price difference between the 66 tooth and the 65 tooth (65 was cheaper). I was just asking around to see if it was wise to go to a 65.
I already bought everything (i went with the 66 tooth even thought it was more expensive) i figure i would avoid some possible future headaches.
Unless harley changed the way they did the 08's and above... u would not have enough adjustment in the axle adjustment to make the 65th work. I have been thru this with my '07 and there just wasn't enough room. Harley pretty much has the axle adjusters all the way out already.
