I paid less than 50% of that from a dealer that "just wanted to unload them". I spoke with Ohlins NA at the IMS in SC last month. They were thrilled that someone had purchased the shocks and they actually recalled mine being in the shop getting rebuilt.

I did run the 422's they were an upgrade but they are NOT responsive when loaded and ridden aggessively.

Take a look in my album saddlebags/tourpak and have ridden 2up. I weighed 230 at my max.

For what an Air suspension costs (W/onboard compresser) they could get more costly than the Ohlins.

I plan on getting the shocks rebuilt this winter since they will have almost 25K on them.

At their pricepoint the 422's are fine but the suspension is what keeps the tires planted on the road. I can ride more agressively. I have no problems doing SS1000's on the bike.
