Default Purchasing a Rocker.......maybe

After some long drawn out thought, and the obvious occurrence to me that a 250 tire added to my 2007 Fatboy via a heartland kit will set me back 6k, I think Im trading in my baby straight across for a Rocker C. I love my DNA rims, so Im going to purchase another set of Manmouth wheels, rear in stock 18x8.5 size, front in a 21 flavor, 3 or 3.5 wide. Am I gonna have issues mounting the rim in the narrow glide front forks it being a 21x3 or 3.5?? I can use some "ingenuity" to remount the fender up a bit, but I wanted to know if someone has done it or researched it. Secondly, to aid in simplicity Im gonna get a matched set of tires, so naturally I want a 250 vice the 240, will it fit (under that fender?)? Does anyone make replacement triple trees to wide it out to wide glide and keep the appropriate rake?? What have some of you done to modify the bracket for the hooker troublmakers (have some new in box I didnt have a chance to mount on the fatboy yet)?? AND...........seats, I indtend over th enext couple of years to do the ez rocker conversion, but in the meantime, what seat is most cost effective, comfortable, and best looking??(was looking at the Corbin) Thanks!!!

There are many after market companies that sell the wide glide trees using your stock forks. Keep in mind that the wheel setup will change due to spacing between the caliper and rotor..

Lots of questions, but I can only answer 1. I put the troublemakers on my Rocker by having a new bracket made. Basically it's just a flat projection of the original bracket. Even so I had to mess around with the holes some to make it fit. I put 1/8" spacers between the bracket and the frame, and then had to put some 1/16" spacers between the bracket and top pipe so it would clear the pivot bolt of the swingarm. I'm thinking these troublemakers fit closer to the frame than the V&H BR. I love 'em though.

I can tackle one question also. Go with the FXCW seat. It is the cheapest alternative that I have found. Is it as comfortable as a Corbin, Jeffery Phipps or Danny Gray? NO. Is it $400? NO. I put one on mine and like it. I also know ther is a market for used FXCW seats on e-bay and you can recover a good part of your investment when you make a change. Thats my plan.

go with the danny gray seat, it'll be worth every penny.

yes, you can fit a 250 tire under the fender without doing any mods.

21x3.5 front wheel will fit in between the forks, you'll have to do away with the stock front fender though (small price to pay). you can always purchase an aftermarket.....Jessy James makes the mama jamma front fender which i think is awesome.

what else you got for me?
