Default is it the stock license plate assembly?

Service manual says it uses a non replaceable led bulb. The entire assembly must be replaced.

You will need to remove the rear fender, disconnect the 5 pin connector at the main harness and fish the wiring out of the fender.

Default I didn't look in the owner's manual

I will have to do some more investigating before I can say what is or isn't possible. It looks like it is a modular system and requires more than a simple bulb to make repairs or mods. With a digital controller and LEDS we are into the new era of lighting.

Ok, I'll say the obvious...just don't ride at night until you switch over to
a side mount.

Greetings,

Yeah I'm surprised you still have your original mount! You're one of the few. At least you're changing it to be like the rest of us soon.
