Question PC-V and dissapointed!!

ok after recieving the PC-V i installed it with the canned tune and i was gettign 27 MPG not great by any means, stock 96 cube, after market exhaust 2-1 and s/e intake set up. ok after a few talks with them got to 30 mpg then another chat up to 35 then another chat 39 im happy went to ks averaged 39 for the first 300 miles then after that all down hill 35 then 25 but i was riding in 25 deg so very cold i understand. so i got back to TX and got 39 again happy. then i did a 3'' tank lift now back down to 27 very upset any info would be great on your part. any info plz ima bout to rip that **** out.

so wut mileage are you getting out of the tank..........did you check your plugs lately............running a little richer kinda helps with the heat too..........if your getting aroung 200 miles or more you should be good............is the pc5 for the 08s i thought is was for the 09s.............

sorry to hear that. 2 options, buy a thundermax and sell that PCV or send it back if possible or pay to get a dyno tune done. I know a good tuner 80 miles from you.

Problem with air cooled engines in cold and efi equipped is that they don't heat up enough to run in the best part of the map and stay rich. Test it in normal riding weather and it should improve. At 25 degrees it will be lucky to get out of the cold start afrs.

sorry you're disappointed...mileage and heat management are usually inversely proportioned....trade one for the other
