I start off by going over all mine with a light coating of Semichrome.

I follow that with a coating of Mothers chrome polish. Of all the wax type chrome polishes I have tried the mothers one is the quickest easiest shine for me. The semichrome leaves a protective coating that uber slippery and once applied a few times makes detailing out yer' chrome a quick and painless affair!

Nothing other than soap and water when you wash the bike, then maybe a little glass cleaner to knock off the water spots.

I have been told not to use glass cleaner or at least windex since it supposedly blues the chrome. Is the semi chrome the small tube they sell at the HD place since its $9 for a very small tube?

Been wiping mine off with glass cleaner, usually Windex for going on 10 years. It ain't blue.

Rubbing on clean chrome with a polish is waste of time. It will get no shinier than it ever was to begin with.

Thats the stuff.

Me and glass cleaner do not work well together at all. I want slick and coated with protectant. Wet chrome. Waxed chrome. Glass cleaner makes my chrome raw and hazed looking.
