Lots of good info. Thanks.

My truck has never seen salted roads, but Chevy did have a recall on the cables a few years ago. So it looks like I need a good ramp, wheel chock, and possibly replace tailgate cables. I have a good set of ratcheting tiedowns.

I guess the question I have now is where to tie it. It looks like the tripple clamp would be the right choice. My thought was to ping the dealer for that info or check how they are tied down in on the skid.

+ 1 on the wheel chock. I used the condor for the move of my fatty from the west coast to the east. Not a hitch what so ever. I put tie downs front and back, but with the chock, the front was just for my own state of well being. The condor is well worth the coin. I use it in the garage to park the scoot on a daily basis.
