Default 2005 Fat Boy

My girlfriend and i are wanting to take a trip this summer and just get on the bike and ride for a week. I was curious if it is possible or if anybody here has pulled a trailer behind a softail. Is there a Hitch that will fit my bike? And also looking for a brand on a good tow behind.

Thanks

There are a couple of brands out there selling hitch's for the Fat Boy. I was looking too for a while. My dad has a trailer he hasn't used in years and I could score it easily. Hitches aren't cheap. I got very few responses on here about the subject, especially in the trike, towing section. Only action in that section is about trikes.

It would be a lot cheaper to put a pair of good size saddlebags and a rear fender rack, for a big soft bag.

There is no reason you can't pack for two for a week on a fatboy with some saddle bags and a sissybar bag like the T-Bag or similar. Besides, the hitch isn't pretty either, if that matters at all.

I have a good size T-Bag but i just really do not like the look of saddle bags. Im also going to be carrying a tent and larger items like that for camping is the reason i was asking about the trailer.

You would probably get more replies to your post if you better described what it is you are looking for in the subject line. People opening this post aren't expecting a question about towing a trailer.

Just saying........

If you are just going for a week or so, it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to stay in motels for the night. I'm sure your girlfriend would appreciate having a bed and a shower.

let us know what you figure out. I would think of the saddle bags, myself. remove and replace the parts when you are not on a trip if you dont like the look.
