Sorry, but I just dont buy pulling away with the forks locked.
First thing that happens is you sit down and pull the bars straight. How in the world can you pull away with the forks locked?
I admit I had a kickstand issue ONCE. NEVER AGAIN will that happen.

Forks? Just dont see it.

i just didnt pull the bars straight before taking off so i didnt realize it. Like i said the bars were already in the position i needed to pull away from where i parked so I didn't straighten them out just to turn them back left.

But note to self always straighten the bike all the way before trying to ride it haha

You aren't the first and won't be the last -- still sucks though.

I once parked and then got distracted because my phone rang at the exact moment I shut the motor off. Answered the call, talked, put phone in pocket, and then dismounted. That's when I realized I never put the kick stand down! No damage, luckily, but damned embarrassing!

Sounds like it's time for a rider safty course for you? imagine if you got thrown into traffic.

Being in a hurry on a bike is like being in a hurry to die. it ain't a cage and we generally don't walk away.

Dummy. Don't you know you're supposed to do that while you're learning and still riding your Honda? Like me. Did the same thing many years ago and will never forget it or do it again. My son automatically turns his bars straight before he starts his up. I think he remembers me laying the Honda down.

Wheel lock and fork lock are disaster, easy to forget.
I always put my handlebar straight before I go, just to make sure it isn't locked.
I have done stupid like forgot to put the kick stand on park and leave the kick stand on while moving, luckily I never dump my bike.
