I don't like the new paper filters that HD SE kits have now. Heard too many bad reports on them. Also I liked the black bracket option offered in the HD catalog, so ordered the individual pieces that make up the SE kit, but substituting the black bracket from one of the online 20% off HD dealers. Then I bought from Ebay the K&N HD-0800, which is the one that HD used up until 2 years ago. The filter is also available from Autozone. All total the parts only costed about $10 more than the HD SE kit with the unpopular paper filter. If you don't like this route, Jamie at Fuelmoto sells a complete SE equivalent kit with the K&N filter for $129 delivered.
