Chrome Axle Caps on Rear Softail Axle

Chrome Axle Caps on Rear Softail Axle
On the left rear axle end, there is a clip. Are there any problems with chrome axle caps fitting over that clip? I don't want to get caps and then find they shouldn't be used.

Had absolutely no problem installing the "Classic Chrome Rear Axle Nut Cover Kit", 44256-01, on my 2006 FLSTNI (Deluxe).
