I would also like to put the SE Heavy Air Breather on my 2003 carburated Fatboy if anybody knows if it's possible?

Hey Shakeydeal,
Did you have to bore out your throttle body? Do you know if the 03 FatBoy throttle body is a 48mm or a 50mm? I am trying to figure out what part number (throttle body) I need. I found this

Fits ’08-later Dyna® and Softail® models. Street legal when
used with Original Equipment throttle body. Also fits ’99-’07
Dyna, ’00-’07 Softail and ’99-’07 Touring models (except
’99-’01 EFI Touring), and models equipped with 50mm
Throttle Body P/N 27623-05 (race application only). Does
not fit models equipped with fairing lower glove boxes.*
29098-09 Gloss Black.
29299-08 Chrome

Any info you could offer would be a big help.

I just got my Bike back from the shop after having it re-jetted, and had the Heavy Breather put on. I always take my Bike to the local dealer to have any work done, but I am beginning to think I am wasting my money there. The guy that was working on my bike called and said the Heavy Breather I bought, part number 29299-08, would not fit on my bike because it is carbureted and the breather was for a 52mm throttle body. I told the guy over and over that it says in the Screaming Eagle catalog that it would fit my bike, but he said he was looking at the catalog it did not say that. I told him to just jet it and put it back together. 15 minutes later he called and said that it did fit, and that there was a misprint in his book (yeah right). Anyway, the Heavy Breather 29299-08 fits on my 03 fatboy and looks great. Hope this helps.

Default screamin eagle heavy breather

I just put one on my 02 carbureted night train and the bike ran great before hand but now even after being on the dyno twice to get tuned still runs like crap! the dealer said its the elbow restricting the air. I love the look of it but it will have to go if I cant figure something out to make it run right.
