Default swingarm bag with dual exhaust-looking for recommendations

hello there,

i'm looking to purchase a swingarm mounted leather bag--strap/buckle, quick on and off--to stick stuff in (you know: cigars, an extra magazine or two and the occasional flask).

i'm wondering if there's any chance some of you out there with dual exhaust are able to recommend anything.

best i can tell, with dimensions and pictures i've seen online, the answer is probably: no, the bag will sit and cook on the hot pipe.

and i'm not going to change out the exhaust to accommodate a bag, so let's not go there.

i hope everyone had a nice, long weekend to smash bugs, click off some clicks and increase the size of their carbon footprint!! i sure did!!

I had a swingarm bag, but had to ditch it when I switched to the true duals. Considering on mine, the pipe actually goes directly through where the bag used to be. Guess you could fab up some way too mount one higher up where a saddlebag would go, but I don't know how good it would look.

I relocated my old windshield bag to make a mini-saddlebag. Enough room for cel, shades and registration only. Take a look:

I have one on a cutom fabbed bracket that is mounted to the rear footpeg hole and one of teh strut bolts which leaves plenty of room for the duals. I wrote a post about the bracket and all a while back with pics. I bought the bracket with a bag, but just recently discovered when I got a new solo saddlebag that there was some metal added inside the bag too to keep it stiff. Anyway, searching for it now.

I think the bracket for the softail tool box would work also wouldn't it?

Mine's been sitting slightly on my fishtails for over 2 years. No damage to the bag or the exhaust.

I got a lick's bag recently off another forum member. The bag in the pics is a no name brand. I prefer the Lick's bag as it has plastic clips to open and close under the straps. The actual straps can get to be a PITA.
