Default Removing Footboards from Heritage

Anyone ever thought about removing their footboards from their Heritage Classic? Kinda curious if footpegs would look better. I have not seen a Heritage Classic without footboards.....may be a reason for that I guess.

Not something I've ever thought of doing. I like the floorboards a lot, they add a significant comfort level for me. Seeing how those things are attached to the fram looks like it might not be an easy mod to make and still look good.

Try using photoshop to do a virtual mod first and see if you like the look.

Yea, I agree with ya. I like the footboards too. A friend of mine said "You need to take those footboards off. I've heard people say they can hit the pavement and make the bike scoot out from under you." I told him I'm not planning on riding like Colin Edwards or Valentino Rossi. I'm planning on easy ridin'.

And so what if they do hit the pavement? They just swing up out of the way and make a neat scraping sound while lifting your foot that scares the hell out of you the first time...and then it is fun.
