Default front wheel bearings

Is it possible to change the front bearing on a softail with out going to the stealer? What do you need a puller and a press??? How hard? Anyone do this?

HD has a special tool, but I've never had to buy it. Carefully tap out the old bearing, to put in the new bearing, I use all thread and some steel plates cut to the correct size.
