Default Need Help!!

I am in the process of moving to Japan and today I was prepping my bike (06 Night Train) for shipment. Well I went to drain the gas but I broke a piece that was connected to my fuel line. It looks like it is a plastic piece with what looks like a blue button on it. Can anyone help me with determining what this is and how/if I can replace it? Our movers will be here tomorrow to pack it up. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry brother, went and looked at my bike ('99) no such blue piece, can you be more specific on how is it connected and to what? Good luck.

Mimo.

It is actually a golden looking piece that is connected at the end of the fuel line. It seems to have a blue button on it. I'll see if I can take a picture of it and post it.

Okay, I guess I'm retarded, it is a black piece but as you can see, it looks like there is a blue button on it. Like I said, any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, don't panic. That's your fuel line and it can be replaced with an aftermarket line and a couple of clamps. My son broke his on his 07 Wide Glide while doing some work on the tank. Take your time and get some efi fuel line and change it out. Or you could order the parts you need from harley and install them when you get to Japan.

Your better off getting the Harley part for it, even if its going to cost you about $50. Otherwise your going to need to do some work on the tank and fuel rail fittings and where your going the parts might not be so easy to find.

BTW that 'blue button' is the disconnect, push it in and the line (end now) will come off.
If I were you I would keep the rest of that line in your tool box, in a zip-loc bag. To get it off lift up on the chrome ring at the tank end while pushing up on the line and it will come right out, its like an air line connector.
Unless your planning on staying in Japan permanently, it will come in handy for draining the tank when you ship the bike back.
