Default Need conformation please..

Powder coated my shift arm that couples to the linkage. Put it together tonite with a new shift arm and peg but it seems fck'ed up?
Now on the shift arm it has 2 o-rings and 1 rubber stop. When I put it back together I put 1 o-ring on the inside, 1 o-ring on the other side then the rubber bushing then my shift arm goes up to the rubber then voila done. It seems like it should have less side to side movement? Should I put another rubber or washer to eliminate the movement? Is this normal? Do you need to grease that shaft between the o-rings? Can't find my manual anywhere...

It seems a little sloppy, that shift arm should just move back and forth. Tell the truth I can't remember what it was like b4?

Yeah they are sloppy, I don't think there is much we can do about it though. I guess you could shim it if you want, but I don't think it is neccesary.

What about grease? That shaft must need to be lubed?
