Default What size drain plug? (Deuce fork)

Does anyone know the thread specifics for the duece fork drain plugs? I was thinking of replacing the philips-head screw with a small stainless hex-head so it can be removed and retightened without taking the wheel off.

Whose idea was it to put those things on the inside? Maybe it was for looks but what a pain. Had the wheel off for new tires anyway but would like to make it easier for next time.

BTW: the 1-3/8 cap nuts can also be fit with a 35mm socket. I got one at Advanced Auto for axle nuts. With a little duct tape over the nut there was no marring.

Yes, I tried that but since it is so small it seemed to fit an 8-32 thread nut at the store but the 8-32 threaded screw does not fit into the fork w/o feeling like it is cross threaded. Metric thread maybe? I'll try ACE Hardware today and see what they have.

Forks are metric. Made by Showa in Japan.

Thank you all for your input. I did find that they are metric size M4 .70 pitch.
