In my search I found that 2000 is a changeover year when some wheels changed the size of the outerlip that would center the rotor and pulley on the rear, don't know if bigger or smaller some still use same axle size they changed to 1 inch axles and then to metric, some time in the 2006 and up. that's why I looked for pre 2000 wheels when I changed over, the other thing is on the rear wheel I found the rotor on some models was bolted diff. I searched D. Kirk website for axels, berrings , rotors ect. for each year, in the end anything can be done with enough time and money.

1999 Flstc "heritage softail" 2000 front wheel change
What exactly is needed for this swap ? I have a 1999 Heritage Softail Classic "non-springer" . Ive seen plenty of pics on the net with 21" wheels on these bikes but I cant seem to find one anywhere on the net or in the books that will fit a 99 with 3/4" timken bearings, single disk rotor. Im wanting a 21"x 3.0/3.25/or3.5, Black rim&hub,Twisted ss steel or chrome 60 or 80 standard 6/8 spoke wheel for it but the only one that I can find is the ( Paughco 16-131 ) "Blk 21x3.50 Single Disc Front Wheel Twisted Spokes". Its for 2000-2015 twin cam softails/says will require 2000 later roter and has the sealed 3/4"&1" bearings installed. You can copy and paste the paughco 16-131 and it will take you to the exact wheel im talking about. Can one of the " old timers" lay some knowledge on an youngster? Is this swap possible ? Could I just pull the 3/4" sealed out and press the 3/4" timkens in/get a spacer kit with random sizes/install a 2000 model roter and throw it on my scooter or am I missing something? I called paughco and they said that the hubs are off-set different and couldnt swap. but Id rather hear some input from real pros before moving on..... Thanks Fellas
