Default Question about rocker???

I just thought about this and tell me if u guys think it will work...Ive got a danny gray seat..I hate to take it off when wife rides...And i hate the two up that the rockerc has stock..And i hate the other one they sell too it is even uglier....It sits them up to high and just looks like ****...So i was thinking why not one of those sucker seats that go right on fender...Do u think it will bend fender???a couple of people told me no way the harley fenders are strong..And will it effect the suspension? i know it will be rougher ride for her but its only to bar hop with and ride around town...no long trips...What do u guys think???

Seems to me that you may run into a number of issues. Although the fender is strong, the mounting points that hold it to the swing arm may not be enough to sustain the weight of a person sitting directly on the fender. On a regular softail, the person is not just sitting on the fender, they are being supported by the inner fender struts which bolt directly to the frame. This is why HD designed the two up seats for the Rocker the way they are. In either the case of the Rocker C stock trick seat or the one that you buy that bolts to the frame, they are both designed to leverage the weight of the person at the point where they bolt to the frame just like on any other softail.

Another problem that I think you will have is that it will affect your suspension greatly because again, your passenger will be sitting pretty much on the swing arm. On a standard softail, the person's weight is completely on the fender struts and fender which leaves the rear tire to travel freely through is range of motion.

I would say try it. Get a seat and just start taking your passenger down the driveway and see what happens. In my opinion though, I think that even a lighter person will cause the fender to fail at the mounting points, ruining your fender and possibly causing injury.

If you have the money, check Bitchin Seat's fender support kit.

Don't do it man, too much risk and if something happened you would never forgive yourself...

its not a matter of structure integrity, but one of personal safety. ur passenger could slip and get pinched between frame and swing arm.

I would worry about bouncing her off the bitch pad if it was on the fender. Just not safe IMO, Put a Heartland kit on it with the pass seat option that way it will look cool and she can ride and be safe doing it
