Default bassani pro street pipes and exhaust question

I have a set of bassani pro street pipes on my night train and they have the baffles in them but they are just the metal insert, is that all there is to them or is there usually some sort of of packing, i love the sound of them and i took the baffles out to see how it sounded and it is way louder without them. How much engine damage can take place with just a set of pipes on a stock engine(no tune) and is it much harder on the engine without the baffles, i dont plan to run it without them just curious about the back pressure needed, i read somewhere the bassani pro street dont provide alot of back pressure and some proformance is lost but i am wondering about the harm to the engine the most, thanks

I have the same exhaust on my 08' NT. I believe the baffles are just tubes. I wouldn't run them without the baffles. I don't know about the engine damage but I have been told not to do it. I tried it on mine and it felt like it lost power and the exhaust note also sounded too high. If you just installed the pipes they will get a little louder with break in. I have a SE stage 1 breather and tuner on mine but I have been told that the exhaust without the other two will only improve sound.
My buddy has a 07' NT and also runs the Pro Streets. Put our bikes side by side doing 75 mph down the freeway and it sounds AWESOME!

yeah, i love the sound of them, im gonna keep the baffles in, they are loud enough with them, the pipes were on the bike when i got it and there is no way im gonna change em now, they have a real deep tone and loud as hell, im just wondering if they produce enough back pressure to keep from harming the engine, i dont plan on putting a new A/C on anytime soon so i wont be getting a tune untill that happens,
