No ignition, speedometer needle is moving, fuel pump cycling
I have a 06 Softail, EFI
It was an intermittent problem: NO ELECTRICS when I turn on the ignition (no lights, engine, dash, nothing) I do get a odometer reading with ignition off and depress the reset button, but no diagnostic codes. With ignition switch set to OFF, the speedometer needles moves a little, cycles between -4mph and +4 mph, also the fuel pump is cycling, and this is with the bike ignition switch set to off (like some kind of leakage)
I have done all the basics, batt, grounds, connectors, even rebuilt ignition switch...
I have the Harley electrical book, I am working my way thru it.
This seems pretty basic, what is failing? that would cause NO ignition power and the fuel pump to cycle when the ignition is OFF

I found the problem :teeth:
There are electrical connections in front of the rear tire. There are two connectors and your main fuse. I did the wiggle test on these connectors, and yes, here is the culprit, a loose and dirty connection. I think its the TSS/Alarm module connector that I wiggled.
ATTENTION ALL ELECTRICAL PROPLEMS LOOK AT THESE CONNECTIONS.
These connectors are located in harsh location. This will be the first place I look on these Softails :smiled:
