New to the forum and to Harley's I have a couple of questions about the Power Commander 3.
I currently run a high flow filter, Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered w/baffles, and a Fuel Pak. I get some decel pops and surgeing. After speaking with a few people they recommended the Power Commander instead of the Fuel Pak.
Do you agree?
Also I see a lot of power commanders out there...will a 2007 812-511 work with 813-511? Or do I have to buy the specific model number. I mean I see one model will work with many others. Trying to save some money.
I just looked at my PCIII paperwork and i have the 813-511 model for my 07 FXST. not sure on the other number you asked about. but if you contact Jamie at FUELMOTO.com he can give you all the help and info you can handle...I got mine from him and all the maps i want.
Call Jamie @ Fuel Moto USA.....he's got the best prices I've seen on PCIII. I got mine from him (for '07 FXST) but I'm not sure about the number on it.
again just do some research of Your own..
almost everyone will say what they have is great because if not they would not have bought it..
theirs the PC, TM, SERT and others
just do some searches on the different systems, like, powercomander vs SERT for one and then other so U'll know what U want..
if you are looking for a pciii then check the hdforums classified. i sold mine there for $150 and it was for 07. they work great if your bike works with a canned map. mine did not so i paid for a dyno tune and it worked great. i later changed pipes and did not want to pay for a dyno tune again so i sold it and got a used thundermax for $450 and love the auto tune and not having to find a good tuner person. my pciii spent a year in front of the mug guard with no issues as it was silicon greased in all the openings
I am using a PC111, combined with 2 into 1 V.H. big Radious and a Screaming Eagle air cleaner. Had it Dyno tuned with a custom map and gained 24ft lbs tq to the ground and 13 hp on a 07' FXSTB.
I paid $360.00 CDN for the PC111 new.
Fuel Moto will also create a map on the new PCV for older Softtails. They just did one for my 06 Night Train. Then you have the option to add auto tune, etc down the road and a lot smaller unit to begin with. Only 20.00 more for the PCV over the PCIII. Fuel Moto is the only place that will run a map for a bike older than an '09 on the PCV though.
