I loved my old FXST but the forward pegs got pretty old after a couple hundred miles. Could an owner put small boards on a Night Train, like the ones on a Fat Boy Lo? I know it sounds a bit gross, but it might be the ticket for long rides and at 64 I'm too young for a touring model...
I thought about boards on my Train, but opted for the footpegs with the fold-out heel rests instead. Nice on long hauls, and you can just fold them up for riding around town...
You can put boards. There are several options. You can get boards that mount like the pegs do, or you can get the whole setup from and FLST model and put those on. I have everything needed to put on softail boards for sale. PM me if interested. I can also get you the other option.
just think how much it would cost HD,,,,, and save us,,,,,if we could order our bikes from the factory with the options ( bars, floorboards, grips. etc..) we want instead of having to buy all the EXTRA parts and then put them on later.
