Default Floorboards on A Night Train, Can it be Done?

I would like to install floorboards / footboards on my Night Train. Since the Heritage & Fatboy are in the Softail line, would there be any problems with this install? Is there something different with Night Train that would make it impossible? Is there a multi-fit kit or similar? Would this be easy or ... ?

The goal is to be more comfortable on long rides. The little pegs just aren't cutting it.

You may have problems with pipe clearance on the right side but anything can be done if you try hard enough. It will be expensive but I imagine most of the parts off of a heritage will fit on your bike.

Floorboards?? On a Night Train??

What's next...An Automatic Transmission so you don't have to be bothered with shifting?

Sell it before you ruin it and buy a Touring Bike.

Something with Cruise Control, Surround Sound, Auto Pilot, Apple *** seat, etc...

I'm sure the author of this thread was looking for constructive replies. If he wants to put a toilet seat on his train that's his business.

There are other options besides using the MoCo parts, too. Kits to mount floor boards on the existing peg mounts can be had, and the things are adjustable through a 360 degree arc.

PocoCJ, what are my options here? I don't mind aftermarket, just looking for something a little more comfortable than the skinny little peg.

I'll give you some J&P (www.jpcycles.com) part numbers. You'll be able to see a pic of them online, but you might be able to find a better price from a local indy shop, or another catalog joint.

Adjustable Big Twin Floorboard Kit (Fit all Softail except Heritage & fat Boy)
Oval "Shaker" boards 5500105 $124.99
Oval boards 5500110 $119.99

Adjustable Driver's Mini-Floorboard Kit
5500095 $169.99

It can definately be done cause I've seen one with my own two eyes [:-] Sorry can't tell you what they were, I saw it on a FXST at a set off traffic lights. It had 16" apes and leather bags in Sunglo Red! Looked good too! [8D]
