I could get cruise control for my Road King for $300+, but my $10 Throttle Rocker has been working well enough that I haven't bothered spending the big bucks.

And there is a thumbscrew for when you want to take your hand off.

I did a quick check into getting an electronic cruise control for my bike awhile back and I think it was going to cost about a grand or a little more to buy it and have it installed. That is if you bought it from Harley and had them install it.

I don't know about you but I don't need a cruise control that bad.

Just be sure you are on an open road with clear vision. It is nice to be able to take your throttle hand off for a bit of a rest now and again. Besides....makes the others really look when you wave back with your right hand!!!!

I had been using Throttle Rockers for years... and they really work great as long as you don't have to grab the throttle quick in an emergency!

I just installed a Cruise Buddy this weekend while at Biketoberfest and it works perfectly and I am very, very happy so far.

If you decide not to spend the big bucks try one of these......works great, I use one all the time. Just a flip with your thumb or index finger and it's on/off. I'm not big into screwing around with the wires in my handlebars/grip housings. Good Luck!

I use something similar to the throttle rocker ( Barefoot *******) and its alot cheaper but does the job just as well.
All you do is pre-adjust the OEM throttle tension star and then snap this on to it. Takes a whole 2 minutes to setup and install!
You can easily override this by just turning the throttle up manually in an emergency.

Check it out:

I have that one too and it works great. Noticed they doubled the price on it. Mine was $12 when I bought it.

Yea I noticed that, I bought one, put it on my bike....next trip I took a friend asked me about it so when I got home I looked it up to send him the web address and noticed that the price went up. Still allot cheaper than the electronic version and it works really well.

I just added cruise to my 12 Road Glide that parts minus 20% and labor was $151.

I was surprised and would also like to add it to my FXSTC. I was just the right hand grip and controls. I think the wires from it just plug into an existing connector in the touring bikes so it may be more for other families.

I had not done any checking yet.
