True track is for Dynas and baggers. Softails do not need it. I hear about 10 degress of difference with a regular oil cooler, which does not justify it enough to me. Of course I live right by the ocean where it is not absurdly warm as well.

I spent all day yesterday looking into Jagg & a few others. It was pretty confusing trying to figure out what all was included with the kits and what I still had to purchase. Some had the mounting hardware some didn't, most required you to purchase the oil filter adapter seperately, some had thermostats, some didn't, 6 row, 10, row, 12, moving the voltage regulater, etc. I finally found the genuine HD cooler for my bike, with the chrome cover, adapter, hoses, clamps everything and ordered it, $266.00 plus a 12.00 to ship. Done deal, no looking back. I've got a winter project to look forward too now.

I agree. I think it's just important to get some additional cooling in play. I'll be ordering the 26157-07 cooler for a winter project as well. I really like the way HD came up with mounting it. Looks good with the chrome cover.

This one has worked very well for me. It's made by Billet Cool. I have had it on my 08 deluxe for almost three years. No preasure or volume drop. Very simple and basic. no thermostat. Comes with cold weather cover. More pics in my profile

This seems like it has to be a good idea, so there would be something for a deuce?

I am not familiar with billet cools entire product line. The thing I like about it is no clamps or hoses and is out of the way. Looks nice too. It increases your oil capacity by approxamatly 1/4 to 1/2 quart. I don't usually take the cover off until the outside temp is around 90 and have seen a 20 to 30 degree drop in oil temp. Their web site has all the facts and contact information. billetcool.com

I have the HD Oil Cooler with T-Stat and Chrome cover. Easy to install, all the parts were there, works well (max oil temp I've ever seen was 250F in 117F ambient fully loaded going across the Nevada desert last August on my way to Sturgis) , no leaks . . . I'd have to say that in the Oil Cooler department, I'm a happy camper.

Dr. V-Twin - Thanks for the word on the UltraCool. That looks like the solution I need because I spend so much time in traffic. I know a rider who made a very similar looking oil cooler system with small computer fans and claimed it worked great. I'd like to get that before hot weather returns!

As soon as it is available I will let you know. I am getting one for my bike as well.

I have read about a cooler named the oil bud on another forum. I was considering it for the fatboy I will be buying next year. Looks pretty cool on their site.
