Default Tire(s) question for 08 Train

I will be replacing the rear tire on my train shortly, and here are my questions:

I recently put a Dunlap 402F on the Front, approx 4K miles.....
Cking the Dunlap website, says I should use a D407...

Can I use a Metzler or Avon on the rear, without changing the front, or do you need to run same brand & style on front and rear?

Are there any issues with Dunlap 407? Is there a better choice from Dunlap?

Thanks in advance.

I've had several ME880's and love them. They will cost a little more to buy, but it is worth it. Ran them on my Su^^ki and now on my wide glide.

Avon Cobra series. Wouldn't put anything else on my bike ever again.

No the brands shouldn't matter unless you're **** like me and want things to match. Just keep em full of air and ride.

On the jap bike I got 10K to 12K out of each 200mm tire on the back. The front I changed at 20K just as good measure. And no I didn't run them to the cords. Almost down to the tattle-tales. Keep in mind that this was about 100lbs. lighter than a dyna. Not enough miles on the WG yet to tell.

+3 on the Avon Cobras, very impressive rubber. However, since you have the Dunlop on the front, I would stay with the same for the rear.
