Default fuel tank storage

might be more of a tech question but looking for a way to store a fuel tank to keep it from rusting , changing tins on the wifes Heritage and want to keep the original tins at least for awhile and do not want the tank to rust , not really wanting to fill it with any kind of liquid as I might put them up in the rafters , in box's and very carefully raped , looking for a sure thing as I do not want to try something and check in 6 months and find out it did not work , I know the tanks are lined but chances are there will be some cracks in the liner

toss a couple packets of silica gel in it and store the tank. If you dont have that, try a chunk of camphor.

Whatever you do, Do not put it in a box and rape it. That will lead to more than rust problems
