Default Hd lowers on a deluxe

I'm wondering if anyone currently on the board has a Deluxe or Heritage would be about the same, which they have put the stock Harley Lowers on. I searched the forums and found one older photo so I was hoping more people may have tried it by now and may be able to post a photo.

The reason I checking is the wife went from a Deluxe to a Street Glide. She likes the Street Glide but she is struggling with the extra weight of the bike so she has talked of going back to the Deluxe. She has the lowers on her Street Glide and hopes they can go on the engine guards for the Deluxe. We stopped at one HD dealer and they had never done it and did not know if it would work. I see from the old post it can be done but not sure if it is a direct bolt on.

I don't think they'll clear. Harley does make a chrome lower for the heritage and deluxe that works very well.

Default lowers

www.leatherpros.com makes leather wrapped lowers and paintable lowers with leather fronts for Dekluxe and RK's. they are not as large but others have said they work very well.

I also am checking the options for lower fairings. I think I am going to get a set of the older models with NO adjustment for air flow and have them cut in half and put back together so they will fit the Heritage my wife rides. She 5'2" and just can't handle the SG to the point she feels safe. I just put hard bags on it and changed the pipes so the LF may wait awhile. It can be done however a Dr. here locally did it.
