Default 2007 Heritage - Transmission upgrade?

Love my Heritage and I've recently upgraded and put in the Power Commander 3 (with 02 eliminators), K&N Hi-flo air filter, pulled the 02 sensors from the pipes and plugged the holes, dyno tuned it and much much more power.

OK... So now the question, has anyone done a transmission upgrade on a Heritage 07? I'm just thinking (or writing) out loud here.

Is there an easier way to get more top-end out of it? I can cruise at 100 easy now (normally ride 70-80 mph), what more can I do to increase the top end? Upgrade the rear pulley (smaller), change out the transmission? Suggestions?

Much thanks! (and don't say buy a Road King! )

{BUMP} No Comments? None? You'd think that there would be at least *ONE* comment about this....

more top speed the cheapest way is to put a 34 tooth drive pulley on it it will give you a few more mph

Not exactly sure with your 6 speed, my guess is at 100mph you are ~3,800 rpms. Beef up the motor with cams that pull in the mid to upper rpm range. If money allows, headwork and big bore.

Turbos are also available.

So where you cruisin at 100 mph in the bay area? Cant imagine anywhere you can do that for very long.

Dunno what my RPM is, only have Speedo on mine, no tach - thats *NEXT* on the list to get.

As for areas... Hwy-5 through 580 up the Altamont Pass (if I am lucky), don't try that comin down to Livermore - they get more CPH there than bugs on a windshield in summertime.

Yeah, few places for damned sure... but every once in a while short stretches here and there...
