If it is a charging issue, I would lean toward the voltage regulator but it's hard to be sure from my house. LOL

Roger that...I'll charge the battery starting tomorrow on a trickle for a week while I am on vacation. When I get back, I'll do the multimeter test off and on at some rmps...I have know idea how many rpms because my rocker doesn't have an rmp gauge. I am going to order the full service manual today or tomorrow. Hopefully it will be here when I get back.

I still doubt seriously that a batter will cause a bikes headlights to dim down very low while the bike is being revved or ridden fast. But, I'll admit that most of my alternator type experience is with cars and trucks. I have always thought that once a bike is started that the alternator charges the battery, but that the battery is passive in the charging system.

The bike did sit in storage for about 2 years and hasn't been ridden much.

Too bad I am not close to an American Harley dealer here in Germany. Life would be easier for sure.

Default Rocker electrical

I've got an 09 Rocker C with just over 39k on it. Everything was fine until 60 days ago (I sorta did a slide into 2nd base on it). Anyway, I've done a coil, 2 volt regs, 1 new battery and coil wires. It will intermittanty put the Chk eng and battery lights on and set a code of P0526. It also will shut down 1 cylinder for 2-4 seconds usually at highway speeds - not every time I ride, but whenever off and on. Sometimes it'll do 1 or 2 times - others it repeats a lot. Over the past 3 weeks, I've had in two HD dealerships with no improvements. If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate hearing from you - here or my email xke6@aol.com.
Thanks, Jac
