dyna guy with a softtail question??
hey my old man has a 1990 softtail custom and he has the rear turn signals turned into running lights and has a side mount plate thats the brake light, what i need to do is make the rear turns work like they should. my question is what is the wiring diagram for this bike. what color does what? or are the colors the same as my 99 dyna?

Are you saying the lights don't blink like a turn signal? If so I would pull the bulbs and use a wire tester to see if the wires are there but just not getting power to the bulbs.
You could pull the seat and see if you can trace the wiring from the lights and see if the wires to the blinkers have been cut somewhere.
Always start with the easiest first though. The bulbs might just be burnt out.

on ours I bought the running/stop/turn, plug-in wiring, maybe it has that, if so just remove it from the wire connection under the seat and U'll be back to the stocker set up.

What I gather from your post is that the side mount plate is the only brake light... and that the turn indicator lights only function as running lights... there are no functioning turn signals... correct? If this is the case, then the rear light harness has been disconnected or cut or never installed if this is a rebuild. The brake on the side plate has been direct wired to the brake switch wires... and the turn indicators have been direct wired to the hot wire when the ignition is turned on.
In order to turn the indicators back to turn signals, just disconnect them from the hot wire and reconnect them to the turn indicator wires... you will need some sort of probe to find which wires are the turn signal wires... most likely they will be the orange and yellow or the orange and red if the original harness is in place.
