This seems like a stupid question to ask but does anyone know a way to eliminate my drive belt from rubbing but at the same tim maintaing the 2 inch lowering on my progressives. They are as stiff as they can go.

It's probably rubbing on the top side of the belt where it goes into the primary. I lowered mine last week and since then I've notice a singing sound from time to time and I figured out that it was the belt rubbing. It is cutting a small groove in the center of the belt. It will wear the top of your beld down a little, but it shouldn't hurt anything.

it not rubbing on the lip but rather one of the cross bolts from the primary to the transmission. There are cast aluminum guides in there for the bolts to go through and that is what it is rubbing on. Now i thought the same thing screw it cause it aint wearing the belt down too bad. But if the belt gets hot from rubbing and i gun it which im known to do without thought or cause im afraid the belt might snap from the friction and stress. I just dont want to pay the 500 HD wants for a belt swap.
