Question regarding audio system
I've been doing some research and came across this system. I've pretty much decided on it. I just have a question regarding where to mount the amp. Do any of you guys with a Rocker have an amp mounted? it's not water proof, so I'm kind of at a loss.....any help?http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/S...FYRa7AodEG-big
Save your money. I bought the sytem with the SD and USB slots and the first one they sent was DOA. I sent it back, paid shipping and they sent me a new one. The Speaker housings are plastic. I opened them up and the speakers look real cheap.
I had it all mounted and decided I didn't like the whole setup. Never even took a ride with them. They sounded just OK in my garage. It now sits in the box..
I bought a Handlebar mount for the Amp too..
Spend the extra money either on J&M or the Harley Boom Audio.

The amp mounting depends on the system. Some are meant to be mounted externally in the weather, some, like the one you posted, needs to be protected.
The J&M is my favorite. Two of the guys I rode with last week have sound on their bikes, one Boom and one J&M. At highway speeds riding behind them, I could hear the J&M but not the Boom. Not just "hear" but actually listen and enjoy the tunes. The Boom might have gotten a beat through here and there but no way to determine the song.
I know it is not meant for everyone around you, but in my experience you need a bit more than a "good" system to overcome the song of the motor and pipes.
Now if I could just justify that much cash on a set. ***goes to look in couch cushions****
