I lowered my front and heal shifters and then adjusted the linkage so they were both even distance to the floor board. My front shifter is so low I can't even put my foot under it. By having them both low I don't have to lift my foot very high to up or down shift.

Well this is a good of a place as any. I don't want to lower mine. However does anyone make an extended one maybe 2 inches or so? I've searched to no avail. Thought about just sectioning in a piece and powder coating but that will have to wait til winter.

Baker Custom, Inc., makes extended shifters. I think 1 & 1.5 inches over stock.

I tried mine for awhile didn't like it cause it felt like my foot was locked on the floorboard. Took it off with my shifter and replaced it with one made for a forward control. Now I got room to move around like my right foot.

Hey Milty, any chance you can post a photo of the forward control shift lever on your bike? I've been considering doing the same thing but read in the catalogue or someplace they won't work with floorboards. That just didn't make snese to me but I haven't tried it yet. Thanks

Also adjusted mine down a few notches and reversed location of front and back shifters. Going to check out the link of the extenders but found i was pigeon toed trying to shift so put the front shifter on the outside. Helped a bit but still wouldn't mind another a little bit more.

Sure I'll get a pic Tonite. The parts guy said it wouldn't work too. I didn't want to spend the cash on a black heel toe when I had no intention of putting it on. Looks and works gooda!

Yes, they do make extended shift levers. Mine is from Kuryakyn. I think I got it from Dennis Kirk
