'07 Heritage. Any high altitude adjustments?

Son and two of his friends just took a 10 trip last month to Colorado. All three live here in Indiana.
All three had cams and they needed to add some octane booster at the hight alt. to keep from pinging because the lower octane gas that U can only buy out there. Think 90 was the highest..
His Two friends has the SE 255's and the son has the S&S 551's which all three are high in the CCP area.. which can have pinging issues on lower Octane.
They didn't have any other problem other than that..
