Hi folks,

I was just wondering if you can put an abs system on an '04 Heritage? Has any one done this and is it even possible? I am having a front brake issue and am thinking about this upgrade with the fix. Price if done at dealer?

ABS is not something you just add onto the bike. You gotta have the software along with the hardware for it to work. My guess is the cost would be the trade difference between your bike and a new one.

KKiley...thanks. Was afraid that was the case.

Doc...front brake is surging under hard braking. Had tech @ dealer ride it said it's probably disc is warped. Said it's safe to ride, but doesn't feel safe to me.

 

That's an easy fix. I had 2 stock Harley rotors warp on mine. They are junk. Wasn't unsafe to ride, just annoying. Picked up a used chrome rotor from my Indie for $50 and problem solved.
