Fuelpak frustration
the xied's were added by the indie that does my work. I had said that my bike gets hot and they installed them. I was concerned that they would create a conflict with the fuelpak, but instead they work wonderfully in tandem. Even vance and hines will tell you that the combo is excellent as one works open loop and the other closed. the xied's do not work well with the power commander, only the fuel pak.
I would agree with what others have said about the FuelPak. I have it on my '07 Fat Boy with V&H Big Shots Long pipes, stock engine and SE Stage 1 a/c. After I installed it, had it dynoed at the local dealer and the AFR is spot on. I'll be doing some engine/cam upgrades this winter and will need to ditch the FuelPak, but it has worked just fine with my current setup for the past 3 years.
Hey Rocket and Doc, & anyone else with knowledge on this subject,
Could you explain what you mean by "I had originally bought the FP but got rid of it once the dyno guy told me that it was doing nothing for my motor."
I was under the assumption that V&H Works closely with Harley. I saw their stuff displayed on Harleys in the Harley booth of the NYC Bike Show this year. I have also heard they had something to do with some SE pipes.
(And yes, I know how the assume line goes! lol)
I had the V&H FuelPak on my 2010 Lo but I never had it dynoed. I was planning on putting it on my 2012 Lo when V&H came up with the new values on their website.
Could you educate me on these assumptions and give me some guidence on which type of fuel management to use on my new bike and why?
(By the way, I don't really care about it being a street legal fuel management system since my state decided last year to not require motorcycles to get a state inspection anymore. So I guess I would want the one with the best performance)
Thanks

I was planning on putting on the 2012 Lo the Screaming Eagle Pro II slip ons and the K&N air filter and my FuelPak from my 2010 Lo.
What I'm trying to understand is: Does the FuelPak adjust the fuel mixture properly for this basic performance upgrade?
Why are they saying their dyno guy said the FuelPak is doing nothing for the motor?
