I am interested in purchasing the S2-430 fish tails for my 2011 deluxe.
A friend of mind just got the S2-437 on his. How is that different from the S2-430 ( I think this one is non baffled out of the box)?
Which one has deeper tone to it?
I also want to ask about the Cannon S2-901, how are they on the Deluxe? Are they deeper than the fishtails?
Sorry for the long querey guys but its just a beginners delimma..
The baffled pipes may have a little bit higher of a tone on idle, but when you ride and the bike decelerates, the sound is much deeper without the baffles. Alll lengths of their pieps are mad with or without baffles, but the versions that com with baffles are not removable. The to pipes you have lsited are different lengths. 23.5" or 28.5" for the mufflers.
I have the best prices around on Samsons's, pm me or email me for pricing at palmsapts@gmail.com
Sound on exhaust is extremely subjective is the main problem here. What you hear from a bike while standing next to it and riding it down the road are usually two completely different things.
What one person thinks sounds deep and vicious can be interpreted by others as tinny and off. This is one of the most difficult things about selling exhaust systems. We can watch the video's on youtube but again, we are faced with the same issue. The sound quality is poor at best on most videos. Samson has some great video's on their site, actually on each page with the system.
But this brings me back to square one. What one person loves another may hate. I personally love the way my Samson's sound on my ride with the 95" build, 203 cams, etc. But i am sure some of my friends I ride with hate them.
When making a decision to buy a new set of exhaust I always recommend people try and find a bike with the same system on it and lsiten it. However, this is not always possible, most often not. So we all end up taking advice here off teh forums. I have had 8 sets of exhaust on my bike since I have owned it, and only 1 system came off as I disliked the sound. That was the set of Hookers I had.
