Fuel Petcock EFI ?
Does anybody else besides me miss the old fuel petcock? It sure was nice to ride till it started to sputter then reach down and switch to reserve and know for sure you had at least 1/2 gal of gas to get to a station. I don't trust these new gauges and as much as I play around with my throttle sometimes I don't trust the milage method. Is it possiable to install one with the EFI system or is there too much pressure or bad to run injectors dry?
I don't think you can install one just because of the way the tank is set up with the fuel pump and such.. but yes, I definitely miss my petcock on my old sporty...made it really easy to drain the fuel in the winter too.. turn it to Off, disconnect the hose from the bottom, attach another tube running to my fuel can, turn it to Reserve, let drain..done and done..
The Blackline doesn't have a gauge. It tells you how many miles till empty, it better be accurate. No problems so far.
I didn't trust the gauge on my Road King, and always used the trip odo.

My 2010 Xbones has light come on at 1 gal. (supposedly), but the count down feature on the odometer is dead nuts on!

Your 'low' should have an 'r' indicator in the digital display. You can program it to switch to 'r' when the low light comes on. Mine works really well. I get a low light and 'r' indicator when I have about 40 miles or 1 gallon left in the tank. I can also trust my gauge too once I learned how to read it.
my low goes off at 30miles of range but depending on how i am riding time will very. If i am on the freeway it is short with engine sputtering at 15mile range or less. If i am B road crusing i can go 20miles with range changing from 35 to 30 with the light on. The system will give you a range and it is based on how you are riding previous to your last fill up.
I know there has to be a way to turn the petcock off on a 2006 super glide efi, right? Or do i just plug the hose? This is crazy. I cant believe i cant figure this out or am i correct in assuming you cant?
