MikeZ,, that's a great line on Ur sheet for just STG1..
It cost me $2300 to get just about what U got on Ur 103.. I had to add Pipes, SE-A/C, SERT and CAMS then dynoed on our 96er to get that.
And I am totally happy with the results I ended up with as U probably are with Urs now.
AS I stated earlier if/when U add cams U'll be really happy U did add them. U won't believe the diff till U do it.
If U wait till the winter months, U'll save a bunch doing cams, I had mine done for $795 plus I added new lifters cause I waited till 16k miles to put in the cams, which 15k is the breaking point for needing new ones. Some wrenches say U can go 20k but I opted to put new ones in at $108 cost added.
The $795 winter price for cam install included cams, new bearings, all labor, and a free dyno after all the work was done.
I did pay extra for the oil change and filter and lifters, it come to around $960 after all the work was done.
All this was done in FEB 09 so its prob a little bit more now. But point most dealer have winter specials on mods. Just check around to see who has the best deal.
They (dealers) do these specials to keep their good wrenches busy. Instead of laying them offf...

I agree you get a big smile adding cams.
But save yourself $ 800 plus and do it yourself if you have the time. its not a difficult job and there is a lot of info and videos to help out the first timer.
