Default 2012 fatboy

Okay guys I just bought a 2012 fatboy in vivid black with chrome wheels. Don't have a picture of it yet because I haven't picked it up yet lol its killing me. But I am planning all of my mods out and need some help. I am getting a windshield sissy bar vance and hines big radius 2 into 2 and a se heavey breather screaming eagle air intake. And that is the furthest I have got. Next step is saddle bags. I don't ride with saddle bags daily but I take a lot of trips and need a set. I know I don't want hard bags. But other than that I have nooo clue what style, where to buy from, etc. Anything will help. Pictures, opinions, anything. I am lost lol

I can get you most brands. I like Boss bags and Leatherworks the best and sell the most of them. There are plenty of other brands out there as well. Check out their sites and PM or email me for pricing info.

Just make sure the shield and bags are quick release. I have both on my '07 Fat Boy...

I'm thinking about buying one of those detachable touring trunks that fits on the back for the long rides, just haven't found the right price yet. I've got the 5" swing arm bag and the sissy bar bag and handlebar and frt fork bag for everyday use.

Sorry but this is a little off topic. Smorris3480 I'm on my phone and it doesn't tell me where you're from. I was wondering where you're from, when you ordered and how long you expect to receive yours. I ordered my 2012 fatboy on dec 23 and I just wanted to see how long the dealer said it should be before you're on your new wheels

I am from northeast ohio. I got my bike from harley davidson bike town in austintown ohio. And I too made the purchase on december 23 haha must have been a good day for buying bikes. I know biketown probably made 50 sales that day. But I could have taken mine home the next day but I work on a towboat on the inland waterways so I am gone for 14 days. So I had to wait till the next time I got home. So I have 85 hours (I am pretty excited lol) then I will be riding it home (if there isn't snow on the ground or salt on the roads) or trailering it.

Are you gonna run with saddlebags? If so what kind are you thinking?

That's great youre getting it so quick. I have to wait til march (I live in Australia). I chose the 2 tone fatboy with chrome wheels which they had to order from the US cos they were out of stock, I could have had a black without chrome wheels on the spot. The dealer told me the reason they don't keep many in stock is because HD USA has tightened everything up because of financial reasons and aren't exporting as many over seas.

I don't know what to do about bags. I've had them in the past and they've been great. I would like some bags with my bike too but I figured I'd ride it for a while and see if I really need them or not

Thanks for the quick replies, hope you enjoy your new bike and post some pics soon!
