Default Custom rear fender for 99 FXSTC......

Wondering if anybody has used any 7.25" fenders on a 90's Softail. I have the Custom Chrome fender that looks like a Dyna fender and don't really care for it. I don't like the reveal molding line in it. Just looking for a suggestion. Maybe some pictures. Don't really want a fender that I have to cut off the struts.

Anybody got any pictures of a Heritage rear fender chopped? May go this route. At least I know it will fit perfectly between the struts. Any advice on doing it? I thinking basically move the mount holes up a inch or so and figure out where it cut. I think I can even use the cut chrome struts and the caps that came with the fender pictured.

Thanks all.

This is what I've got mocked up right now.....

Maybe it will look better once it is all the same color.......

Personally I like the flow of the rear of the tank, back of the seat and then the rear of the fender....Just sorta works well together in my opinion.

Maybe see if Debrix doesn't have a front fend with matching or close reveal line.

I know I found one there for the front of my SB that matched the rear factory fender well.

If you are going to lower the fender...remove the shocks and use a floorjack to raise swingarm as high as it will go..then you can see how much you can lower the fender without the tire hitting it.

That's what I would do as well. I like how the project is coming together. It's gonna be a real nice ride!

Thanks, didn't even think of that. So raise the swingarm and mount the fender 1/4 - 1/2" above it?

I have seen a front fender with a line in it, but it dents in, not out and it's smooth. I think it called a ridge line.
