Default Cam?

Ok i decided to I need to do something about the tensioniers on my 06 softail. Been looking at the option's. Going to replace the whole thing with the new Se kit, with the new oil pump and every thing new beraing's cam and lifters. But, could I use the gear drive cam's with the front chain? This way I wouldn't have to worry about crank run out. I would have to keep an eye out on the front tensioner, but the rear would be gear driven. Could I just use the gear drive cam and keep the front chain drive? A hybred system if you will. Your coments are welcome.

OK I am not a wrench,, but what U saying is IMM totally screwed up.

As far as I know U cant have one gear and one chain with tensioner on the TC..

If so and I've looked for a 1/2 hr or better,, and I don't see how in the Vell U can do it...

So If U have something new to show.... Please take some Pics and Explain how U can do it..

All I see is either Gear cams or chain cams.... Being a machinest for 39yrs I don't see or understand how U can be 1/2 and 1/2 on the TC motors.
