last Friday I lost my father and riding partner and we had his funeral today....we sold our bikes about 3 years ago do to his health issues, but he was fighting to get his health/strength back and was on the right track so we started looking at bikes again earlier this past year.
I joined this site after I bought my heritage the day before thanksgiving....he was also looking as well so we could ride together once again.....he lost his fight on 1/13/2012, he would have been 60 one month from today. tomorrow....I will take a long ride in his honor...
Sorry for your loss.
Lost my dad 19 years ago, and while it may not be much comfort now, I can tell you that in time, the fond memories will keep him with you for the rest of your life.
