Looks great without the bags...I agree on lowering the rear an inch or so...

Now you're talking. Lose the stock seat for a solo, remove the passenger pad and backrest, get the narrow bar for the rear turn signals or a combo unit (like from Bright-*** Lights), pop off the windshield...now you're lean and mean.

Reckon, I'd just first say how do U like it.??

The reasons I got the Heritage is because of the bags and the chrome spots, I've even added more.

But leather bags and spots are not for everyone. Its like a Love-Hate thing.

When U ask for opinions in here U'll surely get them and they'll be from one end to the other on thoughts.

I think that most members in here are in the younger-middle age group and not in the older group like I am (over 60) and it seems to me that most younger riders don't like spots or fringe. Even My son doesn't. but I do.

On Ur bike I think the pic doesn't do it justice, the car in the background takes away.

I know the BR's are pretty good pipes but IMO they do make the bags stick out a little more because there's no Muffler under them.
Plus side of Ur pipes is they show-off Ur rear wheel better.

I added the touring seat and sissy bar pad with spots on ours to flow better.

Ur wheels are nice and I've though about doing something to mine, just I haven't made up my mind what I'd like so I wouldn't judge anybody's else's choice.
If I had to choose, I'd probably lean to something like the FAT Daddy's or some big spokes. I think I'd keep the spokes just to look more Ole school.

U can see in my SIG I've add spots to my tank console, front and rear floorboards. Also added fringe to the Bars, seat, front floorboards, Saddlebags, and rear mudflap..

This look takes me back to the late50's - early 60's, when I was young and I'd see all the bikes with spots and fringe all over them going down the street.
Those bikes were my first love of Harley's and Why I still love that look.

Here's a couple pics, I've redid all leather work I've added for the second time, U can see the rear fender bib/backrest pad I made from the org stock rear seat to match the bags, its for solo riding only.
Then the 3rd pic is back in 09 just to show the looks of the touring seat and pad.

Over all I thing Ur bike has a good balance of chrome vs Black.. So If Ur happy just enjoy the ride. The Heritage IMO is a great bike.

How does your significant other like the touring backrest??? I'm thinking of getting one for my wife. We rented an RK a month ago and she loved the curved backrest on that bike. Thanks and sorry for the hijack!

I have profile spokes and white walls with big shots long on my Heritage to keep the Old style look. In my opinion your wheels and tires take away from that.
You obviously don't care for the old look. To each his own.
This is what I like about Harley owners, everyone has their own style and taste to make their scooter their own.

Yes, it is an 18" rear wheel. Gotta keep the backrest for the bride....
