Default changing bars i need some help

I have a 09 fatboy im putting new bars on. i can't get the damn wires out of the connectors. i have tried the paper clip in the hole and only could get out two. Im at my breaking point after 2 hours. any help would be appreciated. thanks, mike

They are a pita, but it helps to sharpen the end of the paper lip a bit. Since you've already got two out, I assume you're prying on the right spot.

Look at the two you've already removed. You should see the little tab that locks it into the connector. It's hard to explain where to pry, but have a beer, relax, look at the ones you've removed, and picture in you're head how they snap in. Sharpen the paper clip a bit and that should help it slide under the tab. Don't be in a rush, even when you know exactly how to do it, it still takes time, patience and a steady hand.

They make a tool for that i think it is called delphi tool cost about $15 that worked good when i did a fatboy

I used a small flat blade screwdriver and preyed on the tab in the plug while pulling the are out.

I tried both, a small screw driver and paper clip. i already screwed up one wire so now its time for a beer

I used a 1 1/2" safety pin. Worked like charm. The sharper, thin point makes it much easier to get under that tab. Also, sometimes you don't have to go as deep into the hole as you would think to it. (quit thinking dirty you co(k hounds)

Im going to try something sharper. i thought as long as it fit in the hole i was alright
